Need to knows

for your upcoming tattoo

Thank you so much for booking in.
I look forward to having you in the studio!

I know that meeting someone new, and going to a new place can feel a little overwhelming. Trust me, I get it. That’s exactly why I put this page together: it’s here for my anxious girlies (and anyone else who needs it) so you can feel a bit more prepared before your appointment.

I’ve included everything I think you might want to know ahead of time, so you can feel confident walking through the door - and so the only thing you really need to worry about is placement (because let’s be real, that’s the hardest part!).

My DMs are always open. If you have any questions, big or small, or just need a little reassurance before the day, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’d be more than happy to help.

I’ll see you soon

Mik xx

  • Please gently exfoliate and moisturise the area we'll be tattooing in the days leading up to your appointment.

Please shave the area the evening prior to your appointment to help cut down on single-use plastic (If you do forget to shave, it's okay. I keep razors on hand).

Please make sure all fake tan has been removed from the area.

Please wear comfortable clothing, that allows easy access to the area we'll be tattooing.

Please make sure you're hydrated and have had something to eat prior to your appointment.

  • Designing your tattoo is usually done in my personal time outside of work.

I will generally send out custom designs the evening prior to your appointment.

This allows us extra time to make any tweaks or changes.

However, this is not always guaranteed.

In the rare case that you receive your design on the day, you will be given as much time as you need to be 100% on the design. This is your tattoo and I want to make sure you LOVE IT!

  • I’d suggest bringing a water bottle, and some form of entertainment eg. book or AirPods. It can also be a good idea to bring snacks for those longer tattoo appointments.

    Don’t forget your ID x

  • Despite the 3 hour parking limit in-front of May Street Larder - you can park there all day without stressing about a fine.

There is then also free 3 and 4 hour parking off Silas Street. However, the ticket man does check here.

Please refer to the map above.

  • I’m located inside ‘The Beauty Social’ which can be found in-between BOOM fitness and May Street Larder.

  • When you arrive, please take a seat in the waiting room. I’ll come out to greet you and give you a consultation form to fill out while I finish setting up for your tattoo.

Once everything’s ready, I’ll bring you through to my private room, where we’ll chat about sizing and placement. From there, I’ll stencil your design on, make sure you’re happy with it, and then we’ll get started with the tattooing.

  • Yes, there is a little bit of time allocated for this and you will never be rushed to make these decisions.
Tattoo’s are on you forever, so I want to make sure you’re certain before we begin.

I am also happy to make suggestions regarding size/placement but always encourage you go with your gut.

  • If you require a support person for your appointment please let me know in advance. Luna La Poke the studio is quite small, and so it can be difficult to fit extra guests.

Please also insure your guest is aware of the length of your appointment, as they may wish to bring some form of entertainment to help the time go by.

  • We accept Cash, EFTPOS, and AfterPay.

Please keep in mind that 10% GST will be added to all Eftpos payments.
